Infinity Ward Attempts to Cure Modern Warfare 2 Apathy
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 will be getting DLC on March 30th for the Xbox 360. It will be maps. Infinity Ward has even produced a domain and page suggesting that people are now apathetic about the game in order to sell those maps

Called, mapathy.com the site (pictured) explains that 'mapathy' is "a state of indifference to the same old maps that one has been playing for the last several months..."

The cure currently comes with a date but not the the amount of cash you'll have to pay for it.

One thing it does do, however, is go someway to alleviating concerns that new content from the game may be delayed or even nixed due to the ongoing legal battle between parent company, Activision Blizzard, and two ex-but-key Infinity Ward executives: Jason West and Vince Zampella.

Word on the street is that there will be new game modes too but for 800pts I think we need a better pack than previous efforts. Some new Spec-ops would be nice (sniper please). I'd also like to see more maps from MW1. I know Overgrown and Strike are back but would like Backlot too!

@headcasephil i agree with headcasephil. why pay for stuff we already have it seems meaningless.. like i understand that u can just have the one game in and not keep cycling threw games but.. i would rather not pay for something i already own.. unless it was free... sorry but i just don't see the logic in paying for something twice

I hate to say it, but you better make it a tnarel. The new group developing the game are not going to try to change a formula that has been successful over the 5 years I'm very much on the fence about this one. I like COD for the social aspect (most of the people I play games with always pick them up, but paying through games that actually added something a little different to the genre like Crysis 2 with the Nano Suit and how much the use of the suit changes the game flow or Brink which gave real class customization and a strong Focus on objectives. Its going to be fun to watch the competition between Battlefield 3 and MW3 especially with Battlefield 3 making an effort to call out the COD franchise
