Peter Moore: Games Humour and the Apple iPad

Following the news that Electronic Arts has been in talks with Apple about the new iPad/iSlate, EA Sports headman Peter Moore has come out and stated that it's a games machine. But he's done so sight-unseen apparently.

Talking to Bloomberg, Moore picked up on the incessant noise on the Internet and elsewhere about today's expected announcement of the new Apple device. Humorously he explained:

"If it’s got a great screen, some buttons, you can turn it on and it connects to the Internet, it’s got the ability to be a games machine."

Bloomberg then points out that, "Moore said what he knows about the device is from media reports."

The report also quotes Jon Kromrey, general manager of the Apple games group at Namco Networks America (who was a designer for Apple until last year), says Kromely, "I’m having fun thinking about all the wonderful things we can do with the device when it’s announced."
