PS3: GT5 Delay Due 'Production Related'

Delay in Japan... but not Europe... oh no.

Sony has delayed Gran Turismo 5 in Japan. According to at least one source this is due to "production-related matters".

The Polyphony game was due out in Japan this March. The indefinite delay has certainly put a stop to that. Europe and the rest of the world were due to get the three-year overdue title this summer. SCEE has stated that, "This information on the GT(5) release is only applicable for the Japanese market. SCEE will announce the launch date for this game uin the PAL territories in due course."

Well, given that no release date outside a vague indication of "this summer" has been announced for SCEE territories, of course the information of a delay wouldn't relate to those areas.

We'd expect to see a simultaneous global launch.

Perhaps it might be nice if Sony could stop wasting everyone's time with GT5. Either release the game, or don't.
