Miyamato Talks New Wii
Nintendo's Shigeru Miyamoto has been telling Seth Porges at Popular Mechanics about the liklihood of motion control being a part of the next Wii.

"...while we don't have any concrete plans for what we'll be doing with hardware in the future," says Shiggy, "what I can say is that, my guess is that because we found this interface to be so interesting, I think it would be likely that we would try to make that same functionality perhaps more compact and perhaps even more cost-efficient."

The great man also points out that while he's never been 'villainized', since the launch of the Wii and the DS, "so many more people have come into contact with video games that I think there's a much better understanding of what they have to offer and they are becoming a much greater part of everyone's daily life. And I think one other thing we may have benefited from is that kids who grew up playing video games are now parents, and what that means is that the people who are parents now have a better understanding of what it is that their kids are playing, and I think that has resulted in a better understanding of video games."
