Xbox 360 'No New Changes' Firmware Update Live
It's one of mysteries that floats about the world of video games: why are Xbox 360 firmware updates never met with the same screaming hoopla that always accompanies PS3 firmware updates? You see, the latest Xbox 360 update has been released into the wild by Microsoft today - and there's not been too much yelling.

Major Nelson says, "If you are signed into LIVE already, you may be signed out and asked to accept the update and you’ll be back online in a few moments.

"There are no new features or changes in this update. This update is preparation for additional system enhancements (Facebook/Twitter/Last.FM) that will arrive later this year.

"Again, there are no new features in this update."

So, turn your 360 on and start downloading - because it seems that the Xbox Live issues that arose after the update was installed have now been fixed.

That may have been just a little too much info :-)

We believe that this is building to a bigger change nearer the end of the month, start of Oct. Can't say what yet, so we're not posting "Rumour!!!" etc.

I meant, of course, the update... not you going to the loo.

Cheers
