Glad that the rumors turned out to be true. I was hoping for at least a $299 price but a slim to go along with it will be great for ps3 gamers like myself. I own an original 60gig I bought new in jan 2007 for $600 and I love it. I may get one of these just for the heck of it.

Well, let's hope it's some healthy competition. Looking forward to Microsoft.

And doesn't it just look like that 'faked' packaging image?

Only retards do the "first" thing on the Internet. And the most retarded of the retards do it and aren't even first. Sad bastard.
I am so pleased the slim is on the way, but is the HDD upgradeable?

Does this mean it is normal sized now, rather than 32-50% of the size?

We know that even the Wii is prettier, I thought slims were supposed to be prettier than the originals.

Yep, it's still upgradeable. The section of the front under the BD drive is where the HDD can be extracted.
