Peter Moore, head of EA Sports, has called for the games industry to... well, walk a bit differently at this year's E3. He says the professional games community needs to "regain the industry’s strut and swagger – something that the E3 Expo once so wonderfully portrayed.”
Speaking to industry bible
MCV, Moore said, "If there was ever a time when our industry needs to look confident and optimistic, it is now.
“The return of the E3 Expo to its roots – of providing a focal point for our products and a strong communication platform for the health and vibrancy of our industry – is welcomed."
The industry, Moore reckons, needs to, "embrace the games industry’s loyal consumers in more meaningful ways at the event – and not shut them out."
It also needs to demonstrate that it's at the forefront of connected entertainment, according to Moore.
OK, so talking about "strut and swagger" is a bit wanky, but as far as his core point goes - here, here!
