So, Sony's DualShock 3 lawyers shut the door on
Courtroom 1 with Immersion,
ages ago, go for a celebratory drink; then the doors to Courtroom 2 opens and a bloke called Craig Thorner is standing there, with his lawyers.
According to
Patent Arcade, Craig "was an engineer who held several patents that were also directed to haptic feedback technology, similar to those asserted by Immersion against Sony, and his patents were part of Sony's after-trial attempt to invalidate Immersion's patents."
He is now claiming that he used a firm of attorneys, which was also used by Sony, to organise a licensing deal with a company called PDP LLC for this technology. That legal advice, he claims, resulted in him getting a bum deal. Not only that, he further claims that Sony was working with PDP to ensure that his deal was less than favourable.
He's sued the lawyers and is now suing Sony.
Surely there's a game in here somewhere?
