Nintendo has remained coy on reports flying around suggesting that the DSi is set for its own Virtual Console-style service.
A Nintendo representative told SPOnG that the reports are "Rumour and speculation." While that not entirely unexpected response isn't the one we'd like, it should be noted that it's not a denial, either...
The reports
emerged from an event apparently aimed at giving gold and platinum Club Nintendo members a look at the DSi. It was suggested that Game Boy and Game Boy Advance titles will be available to download to the DSi, starting with first-party Nintendo titles. Furthermore, it was reported that it will be possible to store the games on SD cards.
Nintendo's president, Satoru Iwata, will speak at the platform holder's Game Developers Conference keynote at 9.00am PST, 4.00pm GMT today. Keep your eyes peeled for more on the DSi then.
