Sony: Our PlayStation Exclusives Against Anyone's
Sony's senior VP (of marketing), Peter Dille, has stated that his company will be launching "the most aggressive marketing year in its history", this year. First with Killzone 2, then God of War 3.

Now, this does not mean that GOW3 will be launching in 2009; simply that the marketing will. However, seeing how late the company has left the push for KZ2, we wouldn't be surprised of the marketing started on launch day.

Equally interesting from Peter, is his contention that Sony "employs more people in development than Microsoft and Nintendo combined" and that this, according to Dille means that, "We'll put our exclusives up against anyone."

Indeed 2009 is a year in which having excellent exclusive games will stop PS2 owners from jumping over to the Xbox 360 or Wii. Thus far Killzone 2's buzz appears to be serving the console well.

Bear in mind this is the guy who said, "The PS3 is a very deep ocean and folks are really still only scratching the surface..." when speaking about how "There's no way (Killzone 2) is taking it to its full potential".

Till this very day no PS3 exclusive has toppled Xbox 360 exclusives well none that I can think about and even the 360 exclusives released in Japan first have sold tons in the first few weeks as well.
I cannot remember the last time a big release for the PS3 even got any major marketing or huge sales in its opening week.

Xbox 360 still remains to have the best and more exclusives and even multi platform titles that have exclusive content. With Sony having lost many of its exclusives it does not have much else left to offer.

Even with the Xbox 360's NXE interface compared to the PS3's the PS3 is very poorly constructed, not very user friendly and not simple and effective like the way the 360 is setup when sending and receiving messages, chatting and with lobbies etc.

360 Exclusives sold tons in the first few weeks compared to the PS3 exclusives *cough* White Knight Chronicles *cough*. MGS4 sold pretty much and sold pretty well in the following month.

SuperSaiyan4 it's obvious you're biased, PS3 does not have much left to offer GOW3 (The name pretty much speaks for itself), KZ2 (which has 1.1 million pre orders in Europe alone, ranks 8 in a Japanese pre-orders the same week it was announced to appear in Japan), Uncharted 2 (If you've ever played uncharted it's ten times better than Tomb Raider and hey its not all gray like Gears), Infamous (A game that may not rival Crackdown but is shaping to be quite impressive), Gran Turismo 5 (being developed by a racing perfectionist, it's damn better than Forza), and MAG (256 players online developed by Zipper Interactive).

I'm not taking anything away from the 360 it's still going to do well regardless but to say PS3 does not have much left to offer is stupid. Oh and the PS3's XMB (Cross Media Bar) is user friendly and easy to navigate but its obvious you don't have a PS3 and you're just acting like you do.

OK, umm...most of those games aren't even out yet, most notably GT5 which I will believe when I see...

saying its "damn better than Forza" is laughable...Forza (2) exists, and is an enjoyable game, which has been out from some time now, I would hope that a racing game delivered 2 years or more after it would show some sort of improvement, but I'd reckon on GT5 having to compete with Forza 3 (or at least the prospect of such) by the time it actually sees store shelves, and the fact of the massive delays in its release would mark it down in my book.

I'm sorry, but this late into the game, with both consoles having been out for a reasonably long period of time, you don't get to crow about how well the games that haven't been released yet compare to games that are already out.

When all those games you mentioned are out and their quality can be fairly evaluated, then you might be in a better position, but as of this moment you're just talking s**t.
