Smash Bros creative force, Masahiro Sakurai, and Nintendo are getting it on again with a new project/company that goes by the name
Project Sora. Sakurai becomes
director of software development.
'Sora' in Japanese means 'sky'. The company begins with 200-million yen (£1.5m) in start-up capital. Details of what game or games will emerge are scant.
Nintendo president Saturo Iwata head discusses the company with Sakurai
here. Be warned, it's not a great translation which is why we are still ploughing through it.
Bearing in mind the
delays to Super Smash Bros. Brawl, however, we'd imagine that scheduling will be more tightly controlled.
