Well, I downloaded it last night along with, I'm sure, about 80% of all PS3 users who had access to the demo. I must say I'm impressed but not blown away. I haven't played the full game or multiplayer beta or anything before this demo and I'm not a huge FPS fan.
First of all, the graphics are excellent and, contrary to some reports, there are shadows, dynamic lighting and other graphical effects that serve to make the thing look "real".
Secondly, the AI is intelligent and believable, at least to me. The Helghast move realistically towards you, using cover, covering fire and grenades. They don't have radar vision, but do react to their mates being shot at.
The sounds is good too, whistling bullets, shouting combatants and barking rifles all sound good, if not excellent. It was muffled in places and I didn't always realise that my grenade had gone off. Understandable outside in the mayhem, but inside a warehouse?
I'm not sure that I'll be buying the full game, as I said I'm not a huge FPS fan, but I have to give Guerrilla Games credit, they have made a very good game if the quality of the demo holds up through the full game.
Of course, now the engine is in place, further games in the series should be able to appear at regular intervals.

As I said there were shadows in some places from what I saw of the high res ingame video of the final build but was missing shadows in some areas. Also the lighting was not dynamic at all however again I would like to give this a game a go and make better judgement.
I think with a game like this its engrossing enough to forget about certain elements of its graphical nature if its that fun and addictive.
