Another week of few new releases, another week of
Wii Fit showing off its stamina at the top of the UK All Formats Games Chart.
With its seventh week at Number 1, Wii Fit has equalled Nintendo's second most impressive Chart-topper -
Pokemon Gold - which also managed seven weeks at the top all the way back in 2001. Another four weeks and
Wii Fit will beat
Pokemon Yellow - Nintendo's longest-running UK Number 1.
Below
Wii Fit it's all just shuffling around. Activision's
Call of Duty: World at War is still at Number 2, but EA's
FIFA 09 has muscled its way up one place to Number 3. Below that is a solid climber, Nintendo's
Professor Layton and the Curious Village, up six places thanks to renewed stock.
Another EA title,
Skate 2, is down two places to Number 5. Behind it is
Mario Kart Wii, up two places to Number 6. It's occupied the place held by
Wii Play last week, with the controller-bundled collection of mini games down to Number 7. It has robbed Ubisoft's
My Fitness Coach of its position from last week, knocking it down to Number 8.
Eidos has held steady at Number 9 with
Tomb Raider: Underworld. EA has just managed to skid back into the Top 10 with
Need for Speed: Undercover, up three places at Number 10.
None of last week's new entries make the Top 40, although EA's
SimAnimals does succeed in hitting Number 16 in the Wii Full Price Chart and Number 20 in the DS equivalent. Similarly, Ubisoft hits the PC Full Price Chart at Number 6 with
CSI: New York and THQ's PC release of
Saints Row 2 hits that Chart at Number 18.
Next week, we might just see new appearances from
Rise of the Argonauts and
Chrono Trigger DS.
