EA Skates Back Into The UK Game Charts
It's another week of January UK Games Charts and, believe it or not, there are a whopping two new entries! We won't tell you about those right away, however, because they weren't popular enough to make it to Number 1. No, that honour goes to Wii Fit. Again.

With an impressive 21% rise in sales, Nintendo's belly buster claims its sixth week at the top of the Charts. It's Nintendo's third-longest serving Number 1, coming in behind Pokemon Gold (seven weeks) and Pokemon Yellow (10 weeks).

Held at bay, despite a 3% climb in sales, is Call of Duty: World at War staying steady at Number 2.

Right below that, we get our first new entry! EA's Skate 2 enters the Charts at Number 3, as the publisher's latest fantasy outing, Lord of the Rings: Conquest did last week. Conquest hasn't fared quite so well this week, losing 31% of last week's sales to slide to Number 5. EA might not be crying into its bank account, however, as its FIFA 09 is the title that sits above it. For those of you keeping count, that's three EA games in the Top 10.

Nintendo is the publisher with the most Top 10 games once again this week. The ever-resilient Wii Play is down one place at Number 6. Mario Kart Wii has eaten a couple of curious mushrooms (and been bundled with some hardware) to accelerate up from Number 13 to Number 8. Bringing Ninty's Top 10 total up to four is Professor Layton and the Curious Village crawling back into the Charts at Number 10 thanks to renewed stock.

There's a fifth Nintendo platform exclusive in the Top 10 this week, but it ain't from the platform holder itself. It's also our second new entry! Jumping right onto the fitness bandwagon and grabbing itself a place front and centre is Ubisoft's My Fitness Coach on the... yes, the Wii.

The PS2 release of Eidos's Tomb Raider Underworld gives it a leg up back into the Top 10, seeing it climb like a tiger-fighting maniac all the way up from Number 33 to Number 9.

Next week, expect a bit of a jump for THQ's Saints Row 2 thanks to the PC release.

You can see the Top 10 in full below (last week's positions are in brackets).
