Sony Shoots Back at Microsoft on Home

Also, new screens

Posted by Staff
Earlier today we reported that Microsoft's Aaron Greenberg had decided that PlayStation Home was "... like 2005 tech in 2008."

Now this may not come as too much of a surprise but Sony doesn't entirely agree with this proposition, in fact it believes that Home is so advanced that, "PlayStation Home just couldn't be done on any other game platform". This, at least it according to Director of PlayStation Home, Jack Buser.

So, Microsoft says Home is like "Second Life for hardcore gamers" and Sony says that "Anybody that wants to try to play catch up is going to have a real hard time". Meanwhile Nintendo sits back quietly stroking a large white cat and selling hardware like it's going out of fashion.

2009 is going to be so much fun!

"PlayStation Home just couldn't be done on any other game platform".

Let me guess because HOME comes on a 50gb blu ray disc where only 5gb of data is used...

That statement is null and void as software like that can be done on any platform because its virtual.

Saiyan man, Playstation home doesnt come on a disc, its free to download... and not to mention there are constant updates taking place to expand the world of home. look more into it, before you comment about it.
