A recent Blizzard analyst conference call has revealed that, since 2004, Blizzard has spent a measly $200m (£110.24m or €138m) "on upkeep" of
World of Warcraft.
Yes, we said "measly".
The excellent folk over at The Register did some sums and realised that with more than 10 million subscribers worldwide - and with 7,500,000 monthly-paying customers at an estimated sub of US$15 per month that's $112.5m (£61m or €78m) every month or $1.35bn (£743.5m or €935) annual subs revenue.
See, we said, "measly" at the start for a reason. It also knocks the whole
GTA IV as most financially wonderful game ever in space, doesn't it?
