If your afternoon needed a spot of bonkers, SPOnG has it right here. This is a video of The Last Guy.
The game (which is being released by Sony for PSN) uses satellite imagery to turn real-life streets into a maze, through which the Last Guy, who works for the United Rescue Force (U.R.F.), must guide his fellow survivors to the safety of escape zones. It's not all that straightforward, however, since he's pegging it from zombies. Strictly speaking, of course, he's not the last guy, since he has all those survivors to help out. SPOnG hopes that's explained by them all being women...
Beneath the fancy use of satellite imagery, then, you've basically got Pac-Man. Despite the fiendishly simple premise, however, it looks like jolly good fun.
The game is scheduled for release in Japan on July 31st for ¥500 (£2.35). It's unclear as to whether we'll see the game in Europe, but we really hope to see a localised version of Sunny Wakefield up here in t'North. Now: enjoy!
