The chaps down at Treyarch have managed to snap some pictures of our boys (well, America's boys) fighting for freedom over in the Pacific theater (yes, 'theater'. Those crazy yanks! With their getting into the war a bit late... or starting ones a bit early). They've decided to show them off, so here are the latest images from
Call of Duty: World at War.
There's a picture of a flamethrower and everything! Seeing palm trees burning brought back some pretty terrible memories of a beach barbie gone wrong at Camp Cove in Sydney one Xmas for certain SPOnGers, but they don't want to talk about it...
Europe hasn't been entirely neglected by Treyarch, with at least one of the screens showing that particular 'Yurpian Theater'.
You can find more details and some newsreel footage from
World at War here.
