Sony has launched the official Japanese website for its upcoming virtual world, PlayStation Home. What does that mean for us? It means new screens, that's what it means.
It seems the sun always shines in Home, which is all right by SPOnG - although it could also indicate a serious drought condition setting in.
So, if you're going to build a world from scratch, it might as well be the best of all possible worlds. Needless to say, everything looks suitably modern in Home. In fact, judging by the rooms and the furniture that is on offer, we wouldn't be all that surprised to hear about a licensing deal with Ikea...
Or rather, we'd like to be in a position to say that it had happened officially and not that other licensing deals were still being negotiated... did anybody say Nike? But we can't say that, so we won't.
There's still no official word on exactly when we'll see Home.
Back at the Tokyo Game Show Sony Computer Entertainment's president, Kaz Hirai, said that the service's release had been put back to Spring of this year so that Sony could work on ensuring appropriate functionality for different regions.
You can visit the website
here - but it helps of you speak Japanese.
