Bravia Move from Sony: Free PlayStation 3
G'day... time to whip over to Harvey Norman?
If you don't get the Harvey Norman reference in the strapline to this tale of Sony generosity it's because you've never slogged around one of these Australian retailers on a sweltering Christmas week day looking for a Sony Bravia television and a Blu-ray player to use with it.
Well, this year our Australian pals get a 40Gb PS3 chucked in when they buy a Sony Bravia full-HD 1080 LCD TV - as long as they hand over the cash between 21 December and 28 January.
According to Sarah Falson over at Smarthouse, the offer applies to current XBR, X and W series Bravia models.
You don't walk out with a PS3 though... oh no, you've got to redeem it having first registered your Australian Bravia. So, how much will one cost? Well, if you went for the full-on XBR KDL70X3500, you'd be looking at AU$69,999 (£30,250) or you could opt for the KDL40W3100 for a measly AU$2,999 (£1,269).

I rather get a Samsung 1080p 40inch for £850 thanks which looks much nicer than the Sony tv's and then go get an Xbox 360 Elite + HD-DVD add-on rather than a degraded console that has more blu-ray movies than games.

samsung 1080p screen good till you see panasonic screens runing 100hz even the 1080i looks better and is the my 360 is better than your ps3 runing a bit old now s**t i got all 3 and love em all play em all thay all got good things all got bad

100hz HDTV is pointless since HD games and movies dont even use the 100hz so its pointless it refreshing at 100hz. For standard viewing television it helps but for HD no point.
Yeah yeah I got all 3 as well but it doesnt change the fact that the PS3 is just not that amazing for gaming.
