Bad news for PSP fans out there today, as Sony has announced that the much-anticipated
God of War: Chains of Olympus has slipped, missing a Christmas '07 release date and will now go on sale in North America on March 4, 2008.
A European release date for
God of War: Chains of Olympus is still to be set, though SPOnG expects we should see it a week or two after our American cousins, at the latest.
More bad news for Sony, as the company really needs all the ‘much-anticipated’ PSP games it can get out on shelves this coming Christmas holiday season.
Chains of Olympus is a prequel to the first
God of War game, with a new story set between the death of Kratos' family and the start of the critically-lauded
God of War.
Watch out for a playable demo of
God of War: Chains of Olympus later this year, which PSP gamers will unfortunately have to make do with for now.
