Rumour: Heavenly Sword In New PS3 Bundle
A new PlayStation 3 bundle might be launching in Europe later this month. The rumour stems from an image that has surfaced of the supposed bundle's box.

The box shows the superb Heavenly Sword on the pack, alongside the not-quite-so-superb F1 06. Also shown are two Sixaxis controllers.

Alongside the image is a statement that the pack will sell for €599 (£405 at today's rate), as does the current bundle (which sells at £425 in the UK). The bundle (image) looks suspiciously like the current 'Starter Pack' with Motorstorm and Resistance Fall of Man replaced with the new games.

The image comes from a poster on NeoGaf going by the name of Robinspain. As he says nothing about where the image came from, SPOnG's taking the rumour with a mighty fistful of salt, although the deal does not seem implausible.

Comments from Sony to a dissatisfied customer have indicated that the current pack is an offer that will "end on a predetermined date". Sony has remained tight-lipped on whether this is, in fact, the case, but Sony Computer Entertainment Australia confirming that the bundle had a limited shelf-life down under certainly adds credibility to the idea.

Not sure whether Heavenly Sword and F1 06 being sold with the PS3 would be a good thing? Have a look at SPOnG's preview of the former and review of the latter.

As we went to press with the story, we had received no comment from Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE). But now we have and here it is, "We have no information about that bundle pack".

I cant see this happening, i suspect its a good photoshop, but the two games have nothing in common and doesnt make sense where as the current Resistance and Motorstorm pack does make sense, perhaps Sony should just drop the price instead of adding new packs.

"The two games have nothing in common and doesnt make sense where as the current Resistance and Motorstorm pack does make sense"....

HOW?... what because they were (& still are, really) the only two games out for it?...

I'm not sure about HS, when i first saw it i thought wow, but the more i read about it & the s**t demo have turn my eyes elsewhere, i dont like hack & slash 'ems..... well not mindless ones any way.....

kind of but what i mean is that motorstorm is a more all rounder racing game and resistance is an all rounder action FPS, where as i dont see as many people wanting F1 i cant see it having as big of a impact as say motorstorm would. maybe its just my own sense of what i want, i could understand HS & Motorstorm both action type games of there respected genre. either that or its because i dont like F1 games?

it's just a way of them getting rid of the s**t load of crappy F1 games they have, that no one buys!!.. I dont see anyone biting at this. Sony just 4get your self serving fcuking bundles & drop the console price a lot!!....quickly!.
