2K is releasing a BioShock demo for PC owners tonight at 7pm EST. Which means, if you want to get all technical, it's tomorrow for us UK residents, with the demo available at midnight over here.
If you're a real eager beaver you can get a pre-download over on Fileplanet. Otherwise, keep your eyes on Cult of the Rapture, BioShock's official site, for download locations.
If the 360 BioShock demo that was released last week is anything to go by, however, don't expect the PC demo to download too quickly. High levels of demand led to some lengthy download times.

Worth getting PC people. Got the 360 demo, freaking awesome stuff and I'm so buying this game.

Can someone explain to me what the fuss is about Bioshock? I'm not saying I don't like it, it's just that it never looked that special to me, and everyone's gone nuts for it. I'm a big FPS fan but I've not been converted to Bioshock yet and I feel I'm missing something... I need someone to sit down and explain to me what makes it so different and amazing.

Bentley, I too was like you. I saw Bioshock and it looked good but there's so many cool games (Assasins Creed, Mass Effect etc) on the way, that it got drowned in the pre xmas hype machine.
Because of Bioshock's retro Art Deco designs, it might seem like there's not much there (or because its not another me too futuritic FPS...count them). I soon looked deeper into videos and began to read good things about it. Bioshock is a 2007 hit, no doubt about it.
Its doing the kind of things Half Life once done for FPS games. Its got a good dark story (which would probably make a great film too), great use of physics and weapons etc. I download the 360 demo and I have to say I enjoyed it a hell of a lot and I'll be buying it, pronto.
I thoroughly encourage you or or FPS fan to check out the demo, before Halo 3 comes to steal its thunder. To be honest, I'd rather play this game than Halo 3. Its games like Bioshock that deserve the praise they get. Reading about it doesn't do it justice, you really have to play it.
