Metal Gear Online for PS3 – First Screens

16 player hide and seek with guns

Posted by Staff
Hideo Kojima has been talking a little more about Metal Gear Online this week, at a Metal Gear 20th anniversary event in Tokyo.

Check out the super miniature first screens over on Kojima Productions website of the game that Kojima is billing as "the ultimate online companion to MGS 4"

Konami will be sending us over more details and the first proper, big screens on Metal Gear Online shortly, so we’ll be sure to update this news the second we get those.

Metal Gear Online will support up to 16 players and, unsurprisingly, is basically a game of hide and seek. Featuring guns, for a bit of extra added intrigue no doubt. Stay tuned!

No 360 version then? Such Sony loyalty would make a Sony fanboy weep.

i think all 360 owners can quite easily say they arent really bothered about mgs4 on 360 except for the fact that its stealing from sony other than that who cares! MGS has gotten old

MGS is a good series with great characters. Only in this series do mecha and socio-political military madness mix so well.

I honestly don't understand how Konami are gonna make any money. There's no guarantee it will sell on PS3, but they don't seem so sure it will. I'd love to play online as Sniper Wolf though, that would be cool.

Also does PS3 really need this MGS online to be exclusive, when Sony are gonna be pushing The Agency too?
