The slimeline PSP announced at E3 earlier this month will land in the U.K. before the Japanese homeland according to reports.
The newer PSP, which is due to hit Japanese stores on September 20th, is due to be in the U.K. at the beginning of September.
According to SCEE's European head, David Reeves (quoted in MCV) “Once people get it into their hands they will feel the difference. It will come out at €169 (approximately £114) in all PAL territories at the beginning of September."
According to a reliable retail source, however, late August could see the first of the cut-down PSPs arriving in-store.

That's nice. What happens to the normal PSP packs then? Will they drop in price? If so, I might get another one.
Estimated impact will be limited, since I'm sure many will desire a 360 Elite and Blue Dragon or Bioshock a bit more.

we pay more than £30.00 extra for the psp compared to the japanese, but we get it a couple of weeks early, to be honest though is anyone really bothered about this psp?
i cant see it shifting anymore software or hardware than it normally does and the TV out is well too too late no movie company supports umd anymore(besides sony) so unless you are ok to watch matrix and snatch over and over again on full screen? youre not getting anything new anytime soon.

ohhh now they recognise the UK!?! after blanking us on the Launch Sony probably think, "yer just make a slimmer one in diffrent colours & flog it to those mugs over there, they are always gagging for any old s**t we put out".
