Wii Outsells PlayStation 3 6-to-1 in Japan

As everybody and their uncle Kevin expected, Nintendo’s Wii was the best selling console in June in Japan, according to Famitsu publisher, Enterbrain.
Nintendo sold 270,974 units of the Wii in the four weeks ending June 24, compared with 41,628 PS3s and 17,616 Xbox 360s, further extending Nintendo’s market lead.
"The Nintendo's game console is catching on not only among children but also adults and singles," said Enterbrain spokeswoman Yuko Magaribucha, noting that availability of more software for the Wii added to its popularity.
Nintendo shares, which have more than doubled over the last year, were last trading at 45,700 yen (US$371.54/ £185.77), up 1.8 percent. You may remember that SPOnG reported last week that Nintendo is now one of Japan's top ten most valuable companies.

I aint a sony hater after all my HDTV is Sony my Mobile Is Sony and My PS2 Is Sony, But the PS£ has no appeal to me and a large percentage of the world for the price it is, i dont want blu ray, im happy with upscaled dvd on my 360(avoid that war alltogether till dual players a cheap), and my Wii gives me the revolutionary gaming experince, Once again sony, thats what you get when you tell us we need to work overtime to buy one!

I feel the same as you. I got a Sony TV, PS2, PS1 and PSP. Only thing that's got me interested in PS3 is Heavenly Sword. I'm happy with my 360.
I'm still up for Rogue Galaxy, Persona 3 and Odin's Sphere on PS2 (no guarantee euro/u.k will see them). I just hope PS2 still gets some games before it gets phased out. With PS3 not doing so well I think PS2 might a break from a new gen demise.

drop the price get the 2 batch of games out tell people that they don't need to have a hdtv and people will buy em
and upscaling DVDs the 360 only dose that to 1080i the ps3 dose it to 1080p
games you do not get screen tare with the ps3 but you do with the 360
as a owner of all 3 i next gen consoles i now that they have good/bad points
bad points of the ps3. price, lack of games at the min, dust trap
good points of the ps3 free online play, cheap blu ray player / DVD upscaler , dose not over heat like the 360 dose, not as loud as the 360
bad points of the 360. ring of death, loud , if you nock it will scratch your disk , if you want to watch hd dvd you have to buy the hd dvd player, £35.99 to play online
good points of the 360 a lot of a rate games out for it, cheap hd gaming console can use a pc monitor
wii bad points. has no dvd player, have to spend £52.98 to have the wii mote and nunchuk
not that many over Internet games out yet
good points. best multiplayer console out there even gran will play , will play every gc game that has come out, cheap as chips has a lot to offer
