The rumours were true. Sony's Bluetooth-supported, wireless PS3 controller is to be called SIXAXIS. The motion-sensing controller will operate for up to 30 hours on a full charge, according to SCEI, and will connect and charge via a USB lead. Extra SIXAXIS’s (SIXAXES? Try saying that after a few pints!) will cost 5,000 yen (US $43/GBP £22/€33) from November 11 in Japan.
Sony has also unveiled the memory card reader which allows gamers to copy PlayStation 2 save files over to PS3 and will set eager Japanese consumers back 1,500 yen ($13/£7/€10).
Last up is the Blu-ray Remote Controller (pictured right) which you are going to need if you are buying into Sony’s Blu-ray dream future, and which will arrive a month after launch, priced 3,600 yen (US $31/£16/€24).
