Hot Coffee? Teacup Storm More Like
Superb news to take us into the weekend. Earlier today the US Federal Trade Commission at last confirmed that they will not be taking any action against Rockstar Games or Take-Two Interactive over the ‘Hot Coffee’ affair.

The FTC announced back in June that the company was being put on notice and that any future ‘misrepresentations’ of ratings or content would result in a heavy fine. The Commission also gave 30 days for ‘public comment’ – basically an open invite to the Jack Thomsons and anti-videogame campaigners of this world to comment on their decision.

Now SPOnG is glad to inform you that the 30 day period is over, which basically means that Take 2, and indeed the whole industry, can finally draw a line under the whole ridiculous affair and get back to business as usual.

Great news for Rockstar, who, after this slight public roasting over the issue, will clearly not let such nonsense occur in the future.

So, come on fellas, now that this teacup storm has blown over you can surely tell us a little, teensy bit more about GTA4. You know it makes sense...
