CTIA Wireless I.T. & Entertainment, Booth #125, San Francisco and San Mateo, CA - (October 27, 2004) - Mobile entertainment publisher Kayak Interactive and the United States Professional Poolplayers Association (UPA) have signed a licensing agreement that will result in the first UPA Major League Pool game. Mobile game players will experience an incredible, connected game that allows them to play pool against their friends and family or other competitors, regardless of whether they're in the same room, or on the other side of the world.

"Our relationship with the UPA provides us with the opportunity to produce a game with the most realistic feel yet found on mobile, down to putting spin on the cue ball or making the winning shot," says George Faigen, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Kayak Interactive. "This game offers mobile phone users the ability to expand beyond simple phone calls to include multiplayer action and a unique and unparalleled experience which can't be replicated on games consoles or online games."

As part of the agreement, Kayak will use the likenesses and names of the top players as part of the UPA Major League Pool game, due to be released in the beginning of 2005. Both companies will promote the sport of pool: the kind played in a bar or a in a Vegas lounge, the other played in a car or on a train or even in a bus queue - wherever mobile takes them. Players will also be able to create buddy lists and join a huge community of pool fans across the globe.

"We are excited by the opportunity to supplement live pool play with a mobile game that replicates the skills and challenge of the real sport," says Frank Alvarez III, Lead Representative, United States Professional Poolplayers Association.
