THQ Wireless expands presence in Northern Europe with new office and new hire
Therese Cedercreutz will head up the new Helsinki office which will provide THQ Wireless with a centre from which to direct and manage activities throughout Finland, Norway, Sweden and Denmark, as well as Eastern European countries and Russia.

She has many years experience in the mobile industry having worked for Sonera zed in London and Italy and most recently with Netsize in Finland. She has extensive experience of the major mobile players in Europe including operators, handset manufacturers, application and content providers.

Ms. Cedercreutz has a Master of Sciences (Economics) from the University of Turku in Finland and has studied on a scholarship on the MBC programme at Clarion University, Pennsylvania, USA.

Commenting on her appointment, Therese Cedercreutz said: "The take-up of innovative services, such as Java games, is strong in the Nordic countries which have a reputation for being early adopters of new mobile technologies. A number of THQ Wireless' games, particularly those featuring racing and driving such as MotoGP, are already extremely popular in the Nordic countries and I am looking forward to extending the reach of our brand into Russia and Eastern Europe."

Commenting on the company's expansion, Adam Comiskey, General Manager, EMEA, THQ Wireless said: "With the market in Northern Europe showing strong growth figures, it was important for us to establish this local office to service our clients and grow the EMEA business of THQ Wireless. Therese has outstanding experience in the mobile industry and excellent local knowledge of her new territory. She will be working closely with our existing distributors whilst actively identifying and recruiting additional partners."
