London, May 2000 – Sony Computer Entertainment Europe unveiled plans for a sequel to the hugely successful This Is Football due for release in Autumn 2000. Developed in-house at the Soho Studio, This Is Football has sold over 500k units world-wide.
This Is Football 2 builds on the realism, atmosphere, and gameplay of its predecessor to become one SCEE’s primary flagship properties.
Improving on its original success, This Is Football 2 adds many new gameplay features, such as improved Artificial intelligence, new special moves and real time strategies as well as faster, more responsive player movement.
In addition there are more teams and competitions, including a unique school football mode and a "Timewarp" league featuring the greatest teams of the last 50 years.
