Los Angeles, CA., May 11th, 2000 – Blue Byte Software, Inc. today released further details of its strategy to create a stronger online community focus within the Blue Byte Game Channel and plan to launch the service in September 2000. The launch will coincide with the release of two of it’s best selling series, Battle Isle:The Andosia War and shortly thereafter with The Settlers IV. Both titles will only be playable exclusively online via this Channel.

The Blue Byte Game Channel will contain individual product areas within the community, providing game information, meeting and chat arenas and online play via a dedicated server. Also allowing consumers to create profiles, purchase products directly from the company store, participate in online contests and beta testing, enjoy the global ranking ladder system and play against the product development teams, plus offer e-mail postcards, desktop wallpapers and product demos.

The Blue Byte Game Channel will be put through a rigorous testing period during the recently announced online beta phase of Battle Isle: The Andosia War, commencing the beginning of June.
