London, April 2000, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe is pleased to unveil the innovative and thrilling new sci-fi adventure, Terracon.

Developed by Picture House in London, Terracon is a high-octane action-adventure starring Xed – an alien with attitude – whose race has been wiped out by the evil Terracon machine.

Terracon boasts outstanding special effects with 3D worlds with pyrotechnics. Featuring the revolutionary E-Scape graphics engine which offers 30 frames per second and an incredible draw distance in hi-res, Terracon provides many delights not seen on any PlayStation game before.

In Terracon we see Xed valiantly trying to save the world by fighting the massive killing machines trying to destroy him. He must master powerful pickups and learn how to replace Terraforming Genergy (the energy drained from all objects and life forms) – this is the crucial element of his quest.

The battle rages over several planets and vast exotic environments. Xed must travel through the deepest jungles, coldest ice wastes, driest deserts and weirdest alien landscapes whilst confronting many terrifying foes including the evil Terracon Robots who develop into deadly adversaries wielding lasers, mortars, blasters, homing missiles with ever increasing precision.

Featuring all this excitement, classic blasting gameplay, 32 huge levels and unique new effects, Terracon once again showcases the power of PlayStation!
