London, UK – 30th August, 2012 – Last weekend at Insomina46, the UK’s largest e-gaming festival, gamers across the country came together to compete in the Samsung sponsored World Cyber Games qualifications to secure their place at the global finals in China.

Throughout the festival, there were numerous competitions - both individual and team-based, involving the PC titles Starcraft 2, World of Tanks and FIFA 12.

The winners were -

· World of Tanks – BigClan (Karl Dennis, Matthew Kevin, Richard Moore, Theo Patten, Joshua Watson, Mark Dealey, Chris Jeffrey) – this large ‘casual’ social clan dominated the tournament through thorough preparation and solid team tactics

· Starcraft 2 - Paul "JonnyREcco" Whyte (Team Dignitas) – JonnyREcco was the youngest pro-player in the tournament, aged 16, and fought his way through a 124 player tournament to win the final with a domineering four games to one

The victors from both tournaments will now go on to compete in the Samsung sponsored WCG grand final in Kunshan, China from 29th November – 2nd December 2012.

There is still opportunity to qualify for the WCG final in the FIFA 12 tournament, with further qualifiers occurring during September at the Samsung brand store and the Eurogamer Expo Samsung booth at Earls Court, London.
