For the first time ever, four players will be able to play head-to-head in real time with Rayman M, the brand new game from the Rayman series. The game will be available on PC and PlayStationâ 2 in November 2001, with an Xbox version planned for 2002.
Ubi Soft continues to widen its Rayman product range with original and quality game titles developed on next generation consoles. Created in 1995, the famous character is even more popular today. Rayman Revolution, released prior to Rayman M, is one of Ubi Soft's leading game titles in 2001, already having been a real success on PlayStation 2. In addition, the very promising Rayman Advance will be released in June 2001 on Game Boy Advance, the new Nintendo portable console. To date, nine million copies from the Rayman series have been sold.
What is special about Rayman M? Rayman M brings the new dimension of multiplayer to the Rayman world. This game will be introduced for the first time at the E3 exhibition in Los Angeles in May 2001.
The game's action takes place in Rayman 2's unique worlds; but now the fun is increased with the addition of multiple players in real time. They can choose to play either as Rayman, or other characters such as Ly, the fairy, or Globox. To win, players must not only be quick and agile, but also smart, setting traps for adversaries and taking the necessary risks in intense battles to come out on top. In order to make the game last as long as possible, Ubi Soft has broadened the game play. In Rayman M every competitor has the same running, jumping, climbing, sliding, flying, and shooting powers as Rayman. With diligent practice, players will discover all the techniques and tricks to keep going faster and beat adversaries. Finally, elements such as bonuses, traps, and special objects, will support the action and enable players to use various powers.
The limbless hero continues to surprise us!
