CDV Software Invests In Grass Roots
CDV sponsors a game design scholarship for students.
CDV Software Entertainment AG has made moves into a new direction with the news that it is officially offering an educational scholarship in games design. Initially the scheme has been made available to students in Germany, with the possibility of rolling this scheme out across Europe.
The scholarship is initially in the field of Game Level Designer from the Games Academy in Berlin. With this grant CDV Software intends to support the students throughout their education. The Karlsruhe-based company is setting an example in how to foster the new generation of computer and video games developers.
Wolfgang Gaebler, founder and CEO of CDV Software, says: “We have to fight a battle due to the huge lack of new talent in our business. By endowing this scholarship we want to give new talent a chance to pursue a highly qualified degree as Game Level Designers.”
At the beginning of March this year the first person receiving a grant could enter the Berlin-based Games Academy as Games Level Designer.
