After eight years in the music industry, Dean Baker joined Codemasters in March 1998 as a QA technician. He was soon promoted to Senior QA technician and became a Designer in December 1998.
Almost immediately he was promoted again, this time to Team Leader, managing 7 Designers and Prototype Programmers, working on over 10 projects either as Lead Designer or Team Leader.
Dean Baker's first video game work that SPOnG is aware of is the 1999 title, "No Fear Downhill Mountain Biking" (PlayStation) as Game Design. Of the titles listing Dean within the credits , "Colin McRae Rally 2.0" (PC), "Colin McRae Rally 2.0" (PlayStation) and "TOCA World Touring Cars" (PlayStation) have been best selling titles.
Dean's most recent involvement was as Game Design on the 2000 release "TOCA World Touring Cars" (PlayStation).
