Mark Gerhard is the current CEO of Jagex Ltd.
Gerhard worked for the GTECH Corporation as Principal Security Architect for the National Lottery. After leaving the GTECH Corporation Gerhard started his work with Jagex on the 1st February 2008. Gerhard then become the Chief Technical Officer for Jagex. Taking over the job of Geoff Iddison, he became the CEO of Jagex on the 2nd of February 2009.
When he became CEO, Gerhard stated in an announcement on the RuneScape website, that he wished Jagex to be more open with its customers than the company had been previously, he also reinforced the fact that Runescape is also aimed at adults, however he did admit that the game has been 'dumbed down' in some areas.
