Aleks Krotoski has been writing about games and gaming culture for television and print since 1999. Her words have been broadcast from Channel 4 to Radio 4, and have been printed in a variety of magazines and newspapers, including The Guardian, Edge and PSNext. She will begin studying towards PhD in Social Psychology in September at University of Surrey, where her research will look at MMRPG communities and the potential for behavioural crossover between virtuality and reality in areas of risk awareness, assessment and communication.
