SPOnG's Bill Williams information was recently updated by his brother-in-law as follows:
"As the brother in-law of Bill I got to play test many of his first games. There are a couple of early ones that you neglected to mention that can't be forgotten, these are Salmon Run, and Alley Cat. I believe these were both originally for the Atari game computers.
"Bill Williams also wrote some articles for Creative Computing magazine on Sound generation.
"Bill Williams was a wonderful musician as well as a fantastically creative programmer. He played in his own band for a few years I believe it was called Argys or Argus. They played in some clubs around Metro Detroit. I was too young to see them myself but my brother said they sounded like Rush. I did get to hear Bill play at home a couple of times and his Keyboard playing was mesmerizing."
Bill Williams's first video game work that SPOnG is aware of is the 1988 title, "Necromancer" (Atari 400/800/XL/XE) as Lead Programmer.
Bill's most recent involvement was as Lead Programmer on the 1992 release "Simpsons: Bart's Nightmare" (SNES).
