Gregory Fischbach began his career in video games when he joined Activision, becoming president of the company's international division.
He left the games industry to become president of RCA Records international, but found himself unemployed when Bertelsmann acquired RCA.
Together with with former Activision colleagues Jim Scoroposki and Robert Holmes, Fischbach co-founded Acclaim Entertainment in 1987, where as CEO he was responsible for global product development, strategic planning and creative direction. He resigned from Acclaim in June 2003.
