Nintendo of America took to Twitter apologise for the fact that it's technical organisation over the Xmas period was up there with Sony's ability to secure PSN a few years back. Yes, Nintendo's eShop was down at the busiest time of the year.

The eShop came back to life on December 29th as did the ability to create Nintendo Network IDs (NNID) both of which having gone dark on December 25th. Nintendo said sorry this way:

"We sincerely apologize for this week's inconsistencies and thank you again for your patience and support", via Twitter. It followed up, again via a tweet:

But then some looking ahead news appeared! with Ninty stating, "We will share more information about the launch of Pokémon Bank and Poké Transporter as soon as possible."
