We're all excited about the release of GTAV on September 17th. Now, Rockstar have informed us that it's going to be the biggest map yet, and with big maps comes big storage requirements.
The only platforms to date that GTAV has officially been announced for are the Xbox 360, and the PS3 - and both of them will come with installation requirements. Now, we all know about the DVD disc space limitations, so this means that Xbox 360 users will find two discs in their GTAV box. Disc one will be a one-off install (the content will be played using disc 2 thereafter). The PS3 version will only come with one disc and will install as soon as you insert the game.
So, with that in mind, let's talk space requirements. In order to install GTAV on your Xbox 360, you'll need a 360 Hard Drive or a 16GB external USB flash drive with at least 8GB of free space. Should you choose to use a flash drive, it has to be at least USB 2.0 with 15 (or higher)mb/s read speed and formatted for use with an Xbox 360. As for the PS3 version, all that's required is 8GB(ish) of free space.
For those of you whose old 360 is still hanging in there, you may need to find a flash drive in order to play.
