46,000 gamers have signed a petition to urge Rockstar to release a PC version of Grand Theft Auto V. The game is due for a Spring release on Xbox 360 and PS3, but it seems some overly-eager fans can't wait for the imminent PC announcement."Please release
GTA V on PC," reads the cry. "
GTA games have been a large part of so many peoples lives and it's a big shame not seeing the newest iteration of the game being released on the most powerful platform.
"Things like modifications have always been a HUGE part of PC gaming and modded
GTA is some of the most insanely fun times you can have. I hope you consider the release of GTA V on PC as it'll make many people very happy!" If you fancy signing up,
you can do so here.
The
Grand Theft Auto series has always seen a release on PC, the platform of the franchise's origin. The last instalment,
Grand Theft Auto IV, was released on Windows some eight months after the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions. There's absolutely no doubt that Rockstar has similar plans for
Grand Theft Auto V.
So yeah, we're really not sure why this is happening either. But, if it helps some guys feel like part of the
GTA conversation, who are we to judge? And if it results in a full-blown PC announcement, then all the better. Good luck, guys!
