Were you looking forward to the World of Warcraft movie? Do you even remember that a World of Warcraft movie was in production? Well, prepare for a setback either way - Spider-Man director Sam Raimi is said to be no longer directing the fantasy flick.
The man was attached to the project way back in 2009, but according to IGN he left to make Disney's upcoming film Oz the Great and Powerful. In an interview with Crave Online, Raimi noted that, "They don't have me directing World of Warcraft anymore because when I took the Oz job, they had to move on to another director. They had to start making it."
That quote was from Comic Con too. Like, aeons ago in journo years. So hopefully that means progress is well underway on the World of Warcraft film now. That is, assuming a new director has been picked. One HAS been picked, right Blizzard..?
