How's this for epic griefing? A teenager who ignored the verbal threats of a fellow Call of Duty: Black Ops player found his house surrounded by a police SWAT team just 20 minutes later.According to the teenage victim, whose identity wasn't revealed, he was sitting there happily enjoying shooting other dudes in the face when he heard a voice he didn't recognise. "Some dude just popped out of nowhere, and basically said he’s going to hack me, he’s going to get my information, call the swat team over to my front yard."
Apparently the troll player wasn't kidding. According to the report on
CBS Lewisville (Texas) "received a call from an operator with the AT&T Instant Message Relay Service. The system is designed to allow hearing impaired users to reach someone with a standard telephone. The operator said they had received a message that a person was shot and that someone was still inside the house shooting."
In comes the SWAT team. It took the baffled family a few moments to realise what the hell was going on, before they called 911 to report that a mistake had been made.
We'll let this delightful comment on the
Daily Mail website speak for us all. "Oh sure..it's all fun and games until the REAL bad asses show up. Who's the NOOB now?"
Indeed.
