Norwegian retailer Coop has withdrawn games and accessories from sale following the outrage that saw Christian fundamentalist Anders Behring Breivik killing dozens of the country's citizens.Anders Behring Breivik made mention of games such as Warcraft, Bioshock 2 and Modern Warfare 2 in this online 'manifesto'.
According to PCR, Coop has withdrawn
Homefront, Sniper Ghost Warrior, Counter-Strike, World of Warcraft and the Call of Duty Coop Norway Retail director Geir Inge Stokke stated that the temporary removal from sale was made "out of respect and in respect to those affected."
He continued, "Others are more qualified than us to point to the effects [on players] these games have. Right now, it is natural for us to remove them."
