Man to Play LOTRO in Box for Seven Straight Days for Art
Sometimes a headline that just tells it straight is best. US artist Jordan Long is planning on taking a 3500km journey in a box.

While in that box he will do little but play Lord of the Rings Online over a mobile broadband connection. That's expected to be seven straight days playing LOTRO.

IN A BOX. Long says he's doing it to highlight post-traumatic stress disorder, a condition from which he's suffered.[/b]

Explaining how he came to this idea, Long said, "I started ... finding research about how scientists [were] using Tetris ... because Tetris activates the same side of the brain as where traumatic images come from. So when you’re playing a game like Tetris it tends to block and curb those feelings; so it doesn’t make them as intense."

Possibly the best thing about Long's journey, however, is the fact that it starts in his home town in Arkansas, which is called Bald Knob, on July 1st. It ends at an art exhibition called Fourteen30Contemporary in Portland, where he'll continue to play games in a box but will be on display while doing it.
