In an attempt to make Conduit 2 slightly more playable (okay, a lot more playabel) than its predecessor, High Voltage Software and SEGA have announced support for Wii MotionPlus "enabling precision control and better tracking."
Sadly, however, the news also comes with this statement, "The Conduit series is famed for its detailed control system allowing players to customise and configure their controls, including look sensitivity, turning speed, the dead zone and much more."
First point, until Conduit 2 actually comes out, there is no Conduit 'Series'. Second point, Conduit 1 was not famous anywhere outside of High Voltage for its detailed control system. Third point, "detailed control system" might look the same as saying "effective control system" or "accurate control system" but it isn't the same.
But what if you haven't shelled out for a Wii MotionPlus? Eric Nofsinger, Chief Creative Officer of High Voltage Software can explain his way out of that one, "It's by no means required - gamers will have a great experience without it - but it does offer a level of extra control and adds value to those with the device."
We'll see.
