Student Gets $25,000 To Study Games In Asia
Talk about luck! Jammy git Alex Winter, a senior student at Lawrence University in Wisconsin, has received a $25,000 grant to study video games in Asia.

Winter won the grant from the Thomas J. Watson Foundation after proposing a paper titled "Video Game Culture Studies in East Asia, Korea, China, Japan." His was selected from over 150 hopeful applicants, with 40 of these getting such bestowments.

The lucky chap will begin his journey in July where he will stop in Hong Kong, then live in Japan for five months before travelling to Beijing, South Korea and Shanghai.

Wonder if he can spare us a couple of quid?

Thanks GamePolitics
